Refunds and cancellation
Last updated: 31 October 2026
This policy explains when an entry fee or a publishing fee is refunded and when it is not. It is part of the Terms of use.
In short
You cannot withdraw a confirmed registration, and its fee is not refunded. Money comes back only in these cases:
- The Sharyat is cancelled.
- An admin withdraws your registration, or cancels a pair that is not confirmed yet because an owner was blocked.
- The same share is paid twice.
- A lower fee leaves you extra credit.
Money paid in the app is refunded by the app. Money paid to the organizer is returned by the organizer.
Withdrawing a registration
Once a registration is confirmed, it cannot be withdrawn and the entry fee is not refunded. This also applies when the pair is marked “Absent” or “Not allowed” at the line-up check, when the entry is scratched, or when the pair does not run for any other reason.
When a Sharyat is cancelled
If the organizer or a BailGada-Sharyat admin cancels a Sharyat, every amount paid for it is refunded in full: entry fees, halves already paid and credit. Money paid in the app is refunded by the app; money paid to the organizer is returned by the organizer (see “Pay organizer directly” below). Owners are told the reason in the app. If an admin withdraws a registration before the first draw, or cancels a pair that is not confirmed yet because an owner was blocked, everything paid for it is refunded too, in the same way. A blocked owner’s unused credit is also refunded.
Paying twice by mistake
With “Pay in app”, if the same share is paid twice, or a payment arrives after the entry stopped taking payments, the extra payment is refunded automatically. With “Pay organizer directly”, the app counts each share only once, but the money is with the organizer. If you paid the organizer twice, the organizer returns the extra payment.
When the fee is lowered
If the organizer lowers the entry fee and your credit in that Sharyat is more than your share of your next pairing there, the extra amount is refunded: by the app if you paid in the app, by the organizer if you paid the organizer.
Credit and entries not fully paid
If a pairing ends after you paid your half, that amount becomes your credit in that Sharyat. It is used automatically for your share of your next accepted pairing there. An entry that is not fully paid when registration closes is not accepted and does not go into the draw. If you paid the organizer directly and they are still checking it, the organizer decides before the draw. A half already paid is forfeited, unless the Sharyat is cancelled. Credit not used by the time registration closes is not refunded either, unless the Sharyat is cancelled.
“Pay organizer directly”
In a Sharyat where you pay the organizer by UPI or in cash, the money goes to the organizer. BailGada-Sharyat never receives it and cannot refund it. Every refund of that money is given by the organizer: when the Sharyat is cancelled, when an admin withdraws your registration, or when your credit is more than needed. Organizers promise this in the app before they publish. The app lists each refund the organizer owes you; the organizer marks it given and you confirm whether you got it. If it does not reach you, say so in the app and our team checks it.
Publishing fee (organizers)
Organizers pay BailGada-Sharyat a publishing fee for each Sharyat they publish. It is paid once for that Sharyat; if the Sharyat cannot be published after paying, the organizer can fix it and publish it without paying again. The fee is not refunded automatically, also not if the organizer cancels the Sharyat later. If the same fee is paid twice, the extra payment is refunded automatically. For any problem with it, contact the BailGada-Sharyat team.
How refunds are paid
Money paid in the app through Razorpay goes back to the same UPI account, card or bank account. Once a refund is sent, it usually reaches your account in 5–7 working days. The app shows the status of each refund, also of refunds the organizer owes you.
