Your bull, your pair

Every bull has its own page in the app: photo, breed, teeth stage and identification mark.

Pair your own two bulls, or team up with another cart owner’s bull. Once they accept the invite, the pair is ready.

Then register in the Sharyat you choose. One owner pays the whole entry fee, or each pays half.

बैल नाही तो…,तो आमचा अभिमान आहे!

He is not just a bull, he is our pride!
Trophies, medals and the red ledger: a bull’s record

A bull’s record stays with the bull

Which Sharyat he ran, which round he qualified in, when he won the Final. Every result is added to his page.

The numbers come from official race results, so they are verified.

Selling the bull does not erase the record. After the transfer, the record goes with the bull to the new owner.

The draw in front of everyone, lots picked from a brass pot

Nobody picks the units

The BailGada-Sharyat app draws the units.

Units don’t follow the order of registration: any pair can land in any unit.

Once the units are out, every cart owner and every Bailgada fan sees on the phone which pair is in which unit and on which lane.

Race day on every phone

The crowd, the clouds of dust, the loudspeaker. You can’t always hear which unit runs next.

The unit running now, the next one, the pairs that qualified: it all shows on the phone as it happens.

When your unit is next, your phone tells you. Be at the start line in time.

वेळ प्रत्येकाची येते,फक्त संयम ठेवा!

Everyone’s time comes. Just be patient!

Lighter work for the organizer

Registrations, entry fees, the draw, the line-up check, results and prizes.

The work of notebooks, lists and paper slips now happens on your team’s phones.

The Zenda panch checks the pairs, the Nikali panch records the result, and everyone sees it at once.

Celebrating the winning pair with gulal

Moments from the villages

A pair covered in gulal, an owner lifted on shoulders, practice runs at dawn.

These moments travel from village to village as reels and posts. Follow the owners from your area.

आधी चारा-पाणी,मग शर्यत.

Feed and water first, then the race.

Respect for the bull and the law

A Sharyat is not published in the app without the District Collector’s permission. The Sharyat page shows that the permission is there.

Bulls are family. They need water, shade and care. Nothing that hurts them belongs in a race.

The Sharyat page also shows whether there is an ambulance for animals and for people at the ground.

Your pair, on your phone

The app is for Android phones, in Marathi, Hindi and English.
